After performing my one-woman show, CHANGING SHOES, in Atlanta, I received a great email from a woman, who came with a group of friends. They really loved the show and so they came up with a great idea – to throw a shoe party! Everyone who came was to bring a shoe that held great meaning for them, a shoe that told a story – e.g.”I wore this espadrille when I fell out of a boat in Sicily”; “I was wearing this pair of stilettos when I made the phone call that changed my life”; “I got married in this pair of cream satin pumps”. Sooo, I would really love it if you would share with me a shoe that meant something fun, or outrageous, or even sad to you. You can e-mail me your shoe story at tina@changingshoes.com (if you use an e-mail program like Outlook, or Apple Mail, click here). Be sure to let me know if I can post it on my website to let others read it. Looking forward to hearing about your favorite shoe story. Love, tina

Furry dog slippers -my shoe story
My shoe story is about my furry dog slippers that I have had for 7 years. I like them because as an adult I think we can always have our inner child around to keep us focused on what is important in life. They are a reminder to me through the years that I have them to always have some comfort and some silliness in my life and not take things too seriously. They were a Christmas from my friend and her daughter , which makes them extra special. Shoes do have some importance of marking out times in our life which our transitional and also can be reminders of things we like to have in our life always.

These are the Birkenstocks I spend much of my work life in as a nurse in geriatrics. I work full time permanent nights.
I love my work.
Our shoe sentimentality starts with keeping baby shoes…Tina’s the first person to point out what should have been obvious. Our shoes tell our life stories. I many never throw out another pair again!
by the way my email address wasn’t working and we are trying to fix it. thanks tina
